When it comes to satisfying a sudden craving for something sweet in L.A., there’s no shortage of establishments to cater to your needs. If you can imagine it, there’s probably a place to get it. From red velvet waffles to churro ice cream sandwiches, you can rest assured knowing there’s something decadent, candied or drizzled with caramel (and in reasonable distance) day or night. That said, #NationalDonutDay is upon us, here’s where you can get your favorite fried cake of doughy deliciousness for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

1.  Randy’s Donuts

Randy’s Donuts is one of L.A.’s most notable landmarks, serving up (what I would argue) the best donuts in L.A. for more than 50 years. It’s open 24 hours and their glazed donut is like no other. Be warned, the demand is high and they might be out of that kind. It’s not uncommon. If so, try the chocolate iced glazed or ham and cheese croissant. You really can’t go wrong here.

2. Donut Man

It’s strawberry season! All the more reason to get your hands on Donut Man’s strawberry stuffed donut.

3. California Donuts

This 24-hour donut shop is a fun way to have your breakfast, try a cronut (croissant and donut merger) or take Instagram photos to be envied by all your friends.

4. Donut Farm

Because vegans like their donuts too! These are made with 100 percent certified organic ingredients. But from the taste of it, you couldn’t tell. There’s also a vegan latte bar. Need I say more?

5. Blue Star Donuts

Located on Abbot Kinney, Blue Star Donuts mastered the art of pastries with their Hard Cider Apple Fritter, Blueberry Bourbon and maple bacon donuts. But let’s not forget their Champagne Peach — the list goes on.

6. SK Donuts and Croissant

Fresh donuts and endless cronuts are what you get at SK’s. They have peaches and cream for goodness sake. SK is also open 24/7, whipping up donuts all throughout the day and night.

7. DK’s Donuts and Bakery

If cronuts aren’t next-level enough, there’s always a waffle-and-donut hybrid. This bakery is open 24 hours and they deliver upon request.

8. Bob’s Coffee and Doughnuts

Located at the 3rd street Farmer’s Market, Bob’s Coffee and Doughnuts is longstanding and for good reason! Go for the donuts, but also try their soft and sticky cinnamon rolls.

9. CoFax Coffee

Probably best known for their breakfast burrito, CoFax also offers some damn good donuts in interesting combinations such as Honey Sea Salt, Compartes Chocolate Chocolate, and Spiced Crumb. It’s easily a classic and Dodger themed. If you’re familiar with Golden State and Bludso’s you already know what to expect here.

10. Donut Friend

Donut Friend is where you go to get your treats just the way you like them. Here you can build them by picking between endless (more like 30) toppings. There are a variety of doughs, glazes and fillings to choose from with gluten-free and vegan being available to you as well. It’s like the Pinkberry of donuts.

11. Sidecar Donuts

Crusty on the outside and moist on the inside, Sidecar is a collision of craft and taste of epic proportions. Sidecar has been on the scene since 2012. Its Santa Monica location is definitely worth sliding through. Don’t forget to check out the flavor of the month.
