The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards is in the books. Another year of awards for TV dramas, comedies, and the actors and actresses in them. Jimmy Kimmel hosted and made a series of pretty bad jokes like suggesting Johnnie Cochran is in hell. And, the late night host also went on some really cringe-worthy tongue in cheek rants about diversity. So, all in all, it was a pretty regular awards show experience. A few of our TV faves from this past season won some big honors.

Auntie Regina King went back to back like she’s on the cover of Lethal Weapon.

I know y’all don’t like Key & Peele, but that substitute teacher sketch is funny. Don’t @ me.

Other shenanigans did ensue. The red carpet was actually very lit. Let’s take a look at some of the looks we were served in true Hollywood award show fashion.

Auntie Viola came to slay. (Note: she said this before the bad Jimmy Kimmel jokes.)

And Laverne Cox didn’t need an Emmy award because she dressed up as one. (She also spoke a fine word.)

But this was hands down the best moment of the night. ( I see you Lucas.)

Big shout out to the wins for our PoC family Rami Malek (Mr. Robot is my show), Aziz Ansari, and Alan Yang. Those were awards that were very much earned and deserved.

However…
