Big Sean has come a long way, and I think over the last couple of years we’ve really seen the Michigan emcee come into his own. Last year, he came through with Dark Sky Paradise, and this year he released his first collaboration with Jhene Aiko in Twenty88. This time, we have a one-off called "Living Single," which features Chance the Rapper and Jeremih. This sounds like an all-star collaboration to me, so let’s jump in.

December just doesn’t stop. It’s mind-boggling how much music came out this month and even more so now that we’re less than a week away from Christmas. This song was apparently this was supposed to be on Chance the Rapper’s now Grammy-nominated mixtape,Coloring Book. A rough of the track was leaked back in July with Chance’s verse on it. However, due to what I believe were sample clearances, the song didn’t make the final version of the album. It’s unfortunate though, because this song fits the vibe of Coloring Book from the sleepy, trippy beat from Cam, to the personal lyrics of Sean and Chance. Both rappers speak on the single life and everything that comes with it. “You know, good girl, bad time, right place, wrong mind/Got my mind right, hit her back, brr, the wrong line”.

We all can relate to this track and it’s good to see it got an official release before the year ended. We are not 100 percent sure on Big Sean’s plans are for the upcoming year, but "Living Single" sets the stage for whatever is to come.
