Before the premiere of #LEMONADE had even ended Black Twitter collectively agreed that only black women should be the ones writing think pieces on the album, as the work was made for them. Apparently, Piers Morgan didn’t get the memo. The British journalist took the liberty to write a controversial piece on his not-so-popular thoughts about the album.
The piece is titled “Jay-Z’s not the only one who needs to be worried about Beyoncé, the born-again-black woman with a political mission.”
…and the #BeyHive gathered him appropriately.
From the jump, nobody had time for Piers’ comments.
I don’t know what @piersmorgan said about LEMONADE but I don’t wanna hear anything a white man gotta say about it. IT WASN’T FOR YOU.

Dear Black people: Ignore Piers Morgan.

Then a signal went out to stop people from reading the article.
Do not retweet Piers Morgan. He’s a trash fire human with boring opinions.

If you don’t read anything on Beyoncé today, don’t read professional troll Piers Morgan.

And shortly after, the reading began.
will someone let Piers Morgan know we’re running out of places to put his think pieces, pls think of the environment pic.twitter.com/LWhkJ16mR9

Your article is a whining tantrum of White Male Privilege and how a Black Woman should adjust to make you more comfortable. @piersmorgan
— Bassey (@Basseyworld) April 25, 2016
How bad a writer must @piersmorgan be that the only way he can get attention for his work is antagonizing black people. It’s kind of tragic.

Piers Morgan probably wakes up everyday with a happy smile saying “how will I be annoying today?” Then begins the mission.

But when Orange is the New Black’s Matt McGorry stepped in… it got real.
Eventually the bee stings became too much to deal with and Piers threw in the towel.
Tea & scones anyone?
