Issa Rae is bringing her amazing talents to HBO. This fall, the cable network will air the eight-episode first season of Rae’s new comedy, Insecure. The series will center on “the friendship of two black women and their uncomfortable experiences and racy tribulations.”

Insecure has been in development for a few years, and will finally see the light of day. The half-hour comedy was co-created by Rae and Larry Wilmore, host of Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show, featuring a cast of talented actors like Lisa Joyce, Yvonne Orji and Jay Ellis (Blue from BET’s The Game).
