Hollywood directors Ryan Coogler and Ava DuVernay stood in opposition of the Oscars with their benefit concert raising funds and awareness for Flint, Michigan.  #JusticeForFlint brought artists, activists and victims of the water crisis to the forefront. Live-streamed via Revolt.tv, the broadcast was the second highest trend on Twitter.

Comedian Hannibal Burress served as Master of Ceremonies with mixed reviews.

The heart of the event was in the stories of Flint’s very own: parents, activists, and most importantly children.

The highlight of the night was surprise guest Stevie Wonder taking the stage and names as he expressed frustrations.
