I love finding more conscious female rappers, so when I heard Latrice Tau, I knew she was a gem…or more like an amethyst stone.
The young emcee raps and sings effortless over her new single, “Amethyst” featuring the Pusha T-influenced bars from rapper H3wy P. Ca$htro. The song is about embracing your third eye chakra and opening your knowledge through other dimensions. For those that don’t know, your third eye chakra is an invisible eye opening to a spiritual realm and reflection that provides perception beyond the naked eye.
Born and raised in New York and growing up in the church with a spiritual family, Latrice has always surrounded herself with beyond-thinking creatives and uses her music to share those thoughts and feelings. Produced by Theme Music Josh, “Amethyst”comes off Latrice’s upcoming mixtape, Solar Plexus which is set to drop soon.
