Viola Davis is officially the new face of L’Oréal Paris.

On Wednesday, the How To Get Away With Murder star shared a photo and video for the makeup brand's new campaign on social media. The Oscar winner will be featured in several television, print and digital ads for the company’s Age Perfect line.

"The self affirming words of, 'Because I’m worth it' have always given me chill bumps," Davis said. "What a joy it will be to not just say them over and over again…but to spread the message of worth to women around the world."

Following the company's announcement on Tuesday, Davis has opened up on her decision to join one of the beauty industry’s most iconic brands.

“It feels surreal…I never thought that I could be an international spokesperson for L’Oréal. The fact that I am, it feels like my life has come full circle,” Davis told PEOPLE

L’Oreal Paris described Davis on Twitter as an "unstoppable woman who is beautiful on the outside and on the inside."

According to Glamour, this marks Davis’ first-ever contract with a big beauty brand. She joins a roster of new L’Oreal Paris ambassadors including Jane Fonda, Céline Dion and Eva Longoria.

In 2015, Davis was referred to as "less classically beautiful" in a New York Times piece on Shonda Rhimes.

During the actress' speech at The People’s Choice Awards, she responded to the statement which was a classic example of colorism.

“Thank you Shonda Rhimes, [producer] Betsy Beers and [creator] Peter Nowalk for thinking of a leading lady who looks like my ‘classic beauty,’” Davis said while accepting the award for Favorite Actress in a New TV Series. “I’m so proud to be an actor and so happy to do what I do. And I’m so happy that people have accepted me in this role at this stage in my career.”

Davis’ co-star, Aja Naomi King, is also a L’Oréal Paris ambassador. King, who has frequently gushed about Davis for years on social media congratulated her on the accomplishment.

On September 25, How To Get Away With Murder fans will watch Davis resume her iconic role of Annalise in the final season of the ABC hit show.
