Football season has kicked off but if you go to an HBCU you know that means so has the season of 5th quarters.

This quarter takes place after the game has ended and the bands are still in the stands battling it out against each other. This weekend was the 5th Quarter Classic at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Florida A&M University took on Tuskegee University. Even though the FAMU football team fell short of a win the Marching 100 decided to show Tuskegee University’s Marching Crimson Pipers that they were the best band in the land by playing a song that everyone is familiar with. The band covered Kanye West’s “Father Stretch My Hands”. Although we are not sure of what Tuskegee’s response was to this, we can only hope it was a good one. Take a look at how the FAMU Marching 100 showed out during 5th Quarter.
